Shelley, professor of German, to serve on the committee; Shelley's copies of the meeting minutes; constitution of the Association of Fraternity Counsellors; and the final report to president Ralph Dorn Hetzel.

Ralph Dorn Hetzel graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1906. He taught English and public speaking at Oregon State College and became a full professor there in 1910. In 1912 he was asked to organize a political science department and in 1913 was made the director of the extension services at Oregon. Hetzel left Oregon to become President of the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts in 1917. The College became the University of New Hampshire in 1923. From...

Philip Allison Shelley was born in York, Pennsylvania, on 7 August 1907. He earned degrees from Penn State (1929) and Harvard (M.A., comparative literature, 1930; Ph.D., Germanic philology, 1938). With the aid of an Ottendorfer Memorial Fellowship, he studied at the German universities in Berlin and Goettingen in 1933 and 1934.
